Since I started doing LDP a few weeks ago I have not touched my Dervish. Well, I have...but only while I'm letting friends try my LDP who happen to be borrowing my Dervish, and as soon as I hop on the thing I know why I'm not riding it. I keep leaning into turns and nearly falling off of the board because Randalls (with white khiros up front and blues in the back, no less) don't respond quick enough to what I've gotten used to with the Bennett. Another thing I've found to be really weird is the feeling that the rear truck is "counter-steering" to some degree, sorta giving you that reverse shopping cart effect...I never noticed this before and I suppose just took it like that's just the way longboards feel. That is, until I got my LDP setup together, which feels...better? Way better!
So my question is, then...how are Bennetts on other setups? Are there other trucks that would produce a similar feel insofar as how the turn is initiated and what the turn actually feels like? What does running a Bennett in front and back feel like? I think I want to get rid of my Dervish and stick with top-mounts. I was sorta thinking about a Loaded Ceviche to do some sorta old-school street riding on. Whatever it is, I want it to be pumpable and I think I'd like a tail, and I'm starting to lean away from the go-to Randalls or similarly style trucks and would like something a bit more responsive.

I've got a buddy who has tried Bennetts on a Dervish. It's pretty awesome and pumps really well. My only reservation on it is that it will start to crack on the drop through. Past experience has shown heavy pumping on a Dervish will do that.
Bennetts in general are pretty rad on anything though. Ive seen many experiments. Pretty much all came out positive as well. Even running them flat has a nice carvy pumpy feel to it. (Of course with the right bushings) I still prefer a tracker in the back for my pumping setup, but thats just me. You my find it on a pumping setup (even de-wedged) a bit to carvy.
Never seen Bennetts on a Ceviche but it sounds like a good combo. Maybe not so much for LDP because of the wheel base and foot space. But short burst shredding for sure..
Cheers
