I have a Clutch Deeznuts board like the one in the picture. Really low and feels great for pushing. It's a 10 ply and very stiff so not the best for pumping, but I'm wondering if i can pump with it (once I learn how). I just put Bennet 5.0 up front and Seismic in the rear (these are my trucks for the dedicated pump board I plan to get soon). Pushing is so much nicer then on my top mount pintail board, but something feels different or not right. Could it be the narrow trucks? I don't have any wheel bite, but carving feels slower and I almost feel like I'm slowing down faster then when these trucks were on my pintail. Most peeps use randals/paris/bear trucks that are a good bit wider, but since there's no wheel bite I figured I try them on the Deeznuts.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Mooney

| I really doubt this board would work well for pumping simply because of the fact that it's such a stiff board. LDP boards usually have a lot more life to them and aren't drop decks (with the exception of the century from subsonic). I mean, you could try to put a pumping setup on it and see how it goes but I seriously doubt you're going to see much success with that particular board. |

The stiffness wouldn't be the problem..
You can pump a stiff board very easily..
Look at slalom boards, in fact a stiffer board is more responsive
and pumps easier. Although a super stiff board is not
the ideal choice for LDP because of fatigue and comfort.
The problem with a board like that is the leverage over the trucks,
you have vurtually none.. Because that board was designed to be stable
at high speeds and not to be a turny wiggle board. Those boards
are fun to cruise around on, and very easy to push, but definately
bot the ideal choice. In the gear section, James set up an Evo for pumping
and talks about it.. _________________ San Diego Pump Society

Thanks, I kind of thought a stiff drop board was not a good option. I have a big long fat flexy generic top mount I am turning into a LDP board and I also just ordered the GBomb Illuminati so I have the right boards for LDP on their way to me. I was just goofing around with the drop board and wanted some experienced LDP thoughts/opinions. I love pushing it and sliding with it seems to be a lot easier. I was just wondering if the narrow bennetts and seismics were causing the weird feeling or was it just the drop. I went out to a hill last night and put the Bear 852s back on the board and it's definitely the drop that feels weird when I'm carving not the trucks. It will be my dedicated downhill fun board. I can't wait to get on a better LDP board and see if I can do it
Thanks,
Mooney
