|
|
Hey all,
I'm new to LDP and trying to figure everything out.
To get 3, instead of 2, bushings onto a Bennett truck, do you have to replace the kingpin with a longer one? How do you do this and where do you get the kingpins that are 10mm?/15mm?/20mm? longer?
Tim

The stock bennett kingpin is already long enough to accommodate two barrels and a cone (with a little effort and elbow grease). Swapping out the KP isnt a terrible idea though, as bennett kingpins are poorly made (have splines near the head, lots of threading, not grade 8 ). for the best results, buy a 3" KP and chop/grind it down to the size of your stock KP and then JB weld or epoxy it back in place.
