Ive modded a standard Bennett baseplate with an upgraded Grade 8 kingpin. It has no splines around the head, fewer threads at the end, and is a hair shorter. I secured it to the baseplate with Loctite 262, which i trust on my own kingpin. Heres the parts with the original Bennet KP on the right and the new one on the left:
And heres what you get, complete with large cupped washer, large flat washer, and kingpin nut:
I would be interested in trading for a Randal CompII 28* DH baseplate or a pair of the right wheels or whatever else you can think of. It never hurts to ask!
Send me a pm if youd like more pictures.

Bumping my own thread!
This baseplate/kingpin combo is still up for grabs.
Looking to trade for 28* or 50* randal baseplate (with or without kingpin) or a pair of nice wheels or ???
I also have a 5.0 hangar and an RTS-129 if someone wanted to get a complete trucks starter kit.
BTW: for those that were skeptical of the loctite, ive put well over 250 miles on my other mod'd baseplate and the KP is still securely in place. |

this offer still avaliable?
i have a 50 degree randal baseplate chilling in my dresser. it needs a home, and i would love to have a second baseplate so i can just swap hangers between two setups. i'll think about it. the baseplates a kind of dirty. hell, i got them used, but they are still in great condition. they have riser pad marks.
Email me if you are interested.
pch06b@acu.edu
i'll send you pics of the plate then.
just make the subject line a reminder of this thread. you can also find me on the fish, as i spend most of my time there. this place has great information, so i dont feel the need to jump in and repeat ppl. but on the fish.. well there are a lot of ppl who don't think, and try to understand stuff truly. _________________ Mile High Mark-Diapers and drool cups are way cooler than helmets. |

oh, no problem. i was just jumping at the chance for second baseplate, saw that you wanted what i had, and dont use (which is almost never the case in trades) and thought it would be awesome.
it sounds like one of your plates broke? how'd you pull that off?
