Cedar River Trail :: Renton, WA to Maple Valley, WA
I checked out a new trail today for the first time in a while. A buddy of mine just moved to Maple Valley and saw this on the side of SR-169 so we checked out about an 8 mile section. Its butter smooth. nearly flat, and completely deserted. I think the total length of the paved portion is around 13 miles, with gravel for another 5 on the maple valley side. As the name suggests, most of the trail follows the cedar river, providing much enjoyed cool breezes and wonderful views. My only complaint is I wish it was longer, I look forward to skating it again.
