Hi,
We have been working on this shape for a while, and we want to share our progress. The design intent is for a lowered pumper, but it also can work well for garage or pushing depending on the binding set-up.
Here is the latest, so close to being dialed, proto from Scott at Subsonic. We are happy with the shape and proud of the lay-up. She has a hint of camber and a little bit more concave. The core is Mahogany and Aspen. We covered the core in a clear glass on top to show the beauty of the core. It will be a shame to cover it with grip. The bottom is mixture of Carbon Fiber and glass to give it the pop.
We are so close, but we need to stiffen it up just a wee bit. We hope to have it dialed after this next round. We are almost there. Stay tuned.

Gorgeous AND functional. Love Scott's work!
Maybe either a gnarly clear grip coat (still hard to find clear grip that *really* grips...) or maybe experiment with several thin strips of regular grip tape running parallel with the stringers? |

It is great to be back working with Scott. I can't tell you how much fun and satisfying it is. So much knowledge and craftsmanship, wait, almost everyone here knows that.
We are looking to do more stuff with Subsonic, but this 28 is here to stay. It harkens back to one of the original shapes that Scott did for our brackets, and then Eric Lowell added a lot of love and pumpability to the shape. We got the core isses worked out with the v-lam, and here we are.
See you at the finish line of the STP again this year. By the way, I hate that picture of me...I keep meaning to loose that 20 lbs, but then who is going to stress test these decks! _________________ Ride your skateboard, save gas, sleep well. |

Amazing work guys, this is turning out to be a sweet little thing you got going on out there. I'm insanely jealous that I'm not there to try these things out with you all, but I'm hellish excited about getting my own little piece of heaven through in the mail soon to try out for myself. And don't you worry, I'll be making a video or two.
Congrats to all involved in developing and bringing these things of beauty to the world. I'm stoked to be riding G|Bomb xxx
