Hey guys & galls,

I just recently picked up boarding again. Bought myself a nice longboard and then i saw that thing called pushing. I liked what i saw and since them i've been trying to orientate myself about the whole thing, starting with copying and failing, looking at videos to figure out the physics only to find out that my setup is not "pushing ready" yet. It's tweaking time... but first research.

I have to admit, it's confusing as hell. I'll post questions about lpd some other time in the appropriate channel. But what i will rant about.. is the damn imperial system!! Lol.. i had such a trip yesterday.. measuring my board widths, deciding what width of a truck i need.. and then you guys, i mean.. everybody, you, the shops, everybody is mixing measuring systems up and i'm breaking. :p a hanger is 5 inches or mentioned in mm and there is no real pattern, just.. random. Length of boards are measured in inches, but wheels in mm.

I'm in luck having this measure stick in mm and in inches and feet (1 feet = 12 inches, i realized that yesterday :p. But.. why 12? it's weird). But the numbers are so closely written next to each other, that i when i was trying to measure in mm, but read the inches instead. stuff like that, it just messed me up.

So.. i'm here, on my knees behind the keyboard, begging all of you to use the damn metric system. Amerika is a metric country, you signed the contract!! Use It! lol. Don't believe me? watch the video. Smile

Within the first 2 minutes they mention this, anyway funny and interesting to watch

Greetings from Amsterdam! Smile

Edit-add on:
Quote from the video:
"All the units that we commonly use, like feet and gallons and so are actually defined in terms of metric units. So it's a little translation we do here, but our country is actually on the metric system"
