Knocked the Bennett king pin out. I had 2 of these grade 8 king pins in the exact same size/length as the original one. I'll eventually get an AN6 bolt but until then I at least have this one and a spare.

I decided since I have no experience with JB Weld or any luck with similar "2 part" type products, I thought I'd try something different. So I started brainstorming and below is the result. A vacuum cleaner belt (Kirby brand, lol...) drilled out and cut to fit. It fills the gap perfectly on the flat side and the nubby textured side grips the bolt head so it doesn't slip or spin. So far I think it's a winner.

I like those cindrich bp's but pricey! I'm considering a spherical mod. I also think I'm going to try different front bushings. I've got a 77a barrel and 80a cone. When it was delivered the barrel was mounted boardside. I thought it didn't feel right so switched the cone to boardside. It's better now but I think I could go softer on the roadside barrel. It just seems like the turniness takes more effort than it should. The truck is about as loose as it'll get already. So new selection of bushings are in order, perhaps with an aircraft king pin at the same time. Man theses Bennetts take a lot of tinkering but I guess it's also giving me good knowledge in turn.
