Was out there about 5 years back but over in Oahu. Pushed and pumped around every where I went, put in good miles every day. Most of of it ended up being sidewalk/shoulder of the road riding, was never really able to find a solid spot that was stop and go where I was.

I don't know what its like in Wahaiwa but the skate scene there was extremely welcoming. I connected with some guys online who took me around for a good day or two hitting downhill and slide spots. Told me where a few good parks were.  If you can try to connect with some people its was (is?) a good community. You'll enjoy your ride either way.

Have fun, and welcome as well.

Thanks for your reply!

Iv'e heard, recently, from a friend who's been at Wahiawa, that the roads aren't that great, like you said.

So maybe It's a better alternative to bring a Landyachtz Switchblade instead of my Subsonic Gbomb Illuminati?
I want to make my skate-experience as good as possible, and kind of work with what pavement I got. So maybe a slide/push-board is better then a push/pump?

Peace bro!

I bring my Soda Factory Schilli whenever I end up on the islands (fits nicely in my carry on).  I've brought it setup for pushing and pumping.  I'm from a pretty flat part of the Canadian prairies, so I found trying to pump in Hawaii a little tricky, since everything is up or down, hardly any flat at all.

I'd bring a push/slide board given the chance.
