I got a news letter from Maria the other day and noticed the Chris Yandall model there and wondered how long the other member of the team (you) would take to get his board up there too.
Nice one
Looks like you have a Richy double cone melt together special in that there Bennett I have a couple of those in my Skennet's.
Very cool and affordable composite deck for us. I really like the graphics of Chris doing the Samoan squat nose wheelie on it also.
I use to be able to hang 10 nose wheelie over 100 yeard and G turns front side and backside and backwards. I tried to master the Samoan squat and fell down hard most of the time made it 5 foot once. Your balance get thrown forward when your in the squat position.
Did I post I was able to purchased the June 1976 issue of skateboarder magazine with the Trick tip of Chris Yandall's "Cut the jive & Jog" That became skoging. It also has advanced slalom techinque with Henry Hester it has photo of Stacey Peralta being chased by Chris Yandall through construction cones at the San Diego world contest. Talk about a historical photo the man who made modern skateboarding what it is today. The king of long distance skateboarding and still racing slalom at age 50 plus. It also has a Tom Sims interview. It probley the most historical skateboarder issue ever.
I paid $5.00 for it with out the cover I wish my mom would not have thrown out all my orginal copies of surfer, surfing, skateboard magazine collection when I was in the airforce. _________________ Terry
No wrong issue that the Chris Yandall interview issue. The one I have is
volume 2 number 5 june 1976. It has the Jog and Jive{known as skoging now days} trick tip in it. I read it on the way up to Estes park ,Colorado. Family was having a family reunion
We stayed in Lyons, Colordao I rode my skateboard a few mile downhill on the highway. I used the jog and jive on the way back to get back up the hill.
Colorado is very cool up at the elevation the highways is wide and gradual down hill run that you can keep a good 35 mph speed. _________________ Terry
SO any more info or pics on these here decks? from the front it looks alot like a slalom deck. maybe just a longer Slalom deck? it looks interesting.
also any idea when they will be out?
I've got some more shots but I'm holding off until we get to the next proto, it's coming along well and I'm hoping within a month or two?? Total speculation on my part...
IMO, LDP decks are basically slalom decks on steroids. So yeah, this is a bigger version of an AXE 2.5 but with some subtle shape differences and a nice little kicktail.
It's still looking like a month or so out -- not only are they already busy down there with Sk8jams, ASR, etc., the snow and rain is pounding here as well. Always have the garage though, it's a lifesaver.
WOW - This is awesome!!! For me to see you two come together on a project is a match made in heaven. I hold both styles so dear to me. And both you guys are revolutionary – truly. Major, Major stoke on this...
