Hey all, I'm a noob to LDP. I have a Galac GTCLDP on order and I have been picking up the rest of the stuff for this board. I picked up four Lemon 70mm zigs today and I am wondering if anyone uses lemons on all four corners -- I know the popular thing to do is lemons front and limes rear -- am I really going to have problems with the rear sliding out with lemons back there?
If so, anybody want to trade 2 new lemons for limes in 70mm?

I think the lemons should provide plenty of grip. On one of my LDP decks I'm running lemon Bigzigs in back and oranges in front. I ride it on smooth paths and trails and I get all the grip I need. The only time the back slides out is if I go over a crack or some type of debris. Compared to my 76mm Superballs they surprisingly come pretty close in grip for LDP.

Well, I think I'll wait and see if anyone on the fish or here wants to trade. I am going to be dealing with pavement imperfections a lot -- almost all the roads here suck and the bike paths aren't much better.

I'm not going to talk you out of the limes, but after re-reading my post maybe I wasn't clear enough. I used your "sliding out" term, but it's not like the back end comes around, just a slight break in traction, which happens with all wheels, even my Superballs and they're some of the grippiest wheels around. If the conditions of your roads are not great, the limes or even pinks would give you more comfort and maybe even a little more speed.

I have been running lemons all around on my track board since I coned my Limes (6 months of daily pumping). They are much faster, but I do have to be careful when I get a spirited pump on. I like the setup overall though.

I have come to the conclusion since I skate all diffrent kinds of pavement surfaces in my rides. I don't like the ABEC 11 they chunk out in less than a week. The 3dm wheels are better wheel even my Sector 9 racing series  yellow wheels just do great and roll with less resistance becasue their center set and a smaller contact patch.

I've got 1 full set of Limes, another full set of Lemons, 76mm original Gumball shaped BigZigs, ridden thousands of miles for over a year.  Gradually coning, and no chunks.   I've also been running 2 sets of Pink 76mm Gumball Zigs, and they have little cuts all over them, the older set with some small chunks around the edges, and the other one will start losing little pieces soon too.   My plan is to simply shave off the outer lips once they start to really look irregular.  They've held up for countless miles as well.   I love the way these wheels feel over all kinds of terrain.

My red original thane Speedvents, and my two sets of 75mm 74a Avilas, are all wearing nicely, with no chunks.   They've served me well on some bigger distance rides where I knew the surfaces would range from butter to absolute chipseal HELL.   They absorb shock, and grip like mad.   I basically expect them to last longer than the others, but mainly because of their softer duros, they don't get as much mileage.

In all these cases, regardless of "branding", I'm finding more and more off the race course I just opt for the same duro on all four corners.   One nice thing about that is whenever you drift or slide a little on faster corners, I get a sense of more control, all of them releasing and hooking up together more evenly.
