this loop is ldp gold, baby, gold! i've only ridden it this past week, but so far it looks almost perfect. it has the feel of a mini greenlake without the traffic. or the lake.
this loop is located just west of redmond town center, and just east of the sammamish river. it's set up like a roundabout, except it is extremely low traffic. I saw maybe 10 people on a saturday morning here. it's in an obscure and unused part of town.
the only thing that isn't absolutely perfect is that the loop isn't a perfect quarter mile. each lap is about .27 mile. but that's nitpicking. and anyways, 11 laps= 3 miles.
the loop has a nice mix of slopes and flats. the slopes are gradual on the east side. the west side has a nice v shape to it. traveling counterclockwise, there is a respectable climb at the southwest corner of the west side.
the north segment goes through some fir trees and has some minor pine needle action going on. and there is currently a 20 meter minefield of goose poo right before it.
check it if you get a chance! smooth pavement, easy parking, easy access, quiet... i haven't seen anyone stay on it and use it as a loop. everyone else is just passing through. and the line of vision is nice too- no blind corners, and you can see people coming pretty easily.
let me know if you need directions to get there.
peace out suckas.
