i saw these trucks at a shop before but can't really understand what they're good for.  i'm assuming carving but can they be used to pump?  just curious...

they are decent to pump, if you set them up right.  but bennets are more efficient and way cheaper.  they are whoever by no doubt the most carvy trucks out there IMO. you wont regret getting them for carving. ^_^

If you like their freakish look, check out Carver C7's.
Those pump very nicely.

Also similar are Thruster Trucks, but I believe you can mount your own trucks to them.

the sidewinders are an interesting animal.   some of us were lucky enough to "meet" their inventor over the Fish a few years back-- he sent us the prototypes for some feedback before S9 deal came to fruition.

IMO as an LDP truck per se, they were a bit too high, and too heavy, and not enough rebound.  

though overall i felt they're a really fun, deep carving truck, great for shredding on mellow hills.    and that articulated feel of the turn is really unique, at first it turns normally, then it "notches" into a 2nd gear and turns even more, a very interesting feel.
