Our Maryland/DC crew had a nice outing on the Cross Island Trail on Kent Island yesterday morning before it got crowded. New recruit Ted, who is pumping pretty well on a dervish, showed us around some neighborhoods near his house, and we walked down to the beach overlooking the Bay Bridge at one end of the trail. In good fun, I'll call out Charlie who bailed in favor of sleeping in.
Here are a couple brief videos. Sorry, I am a little challenged when it comes to youtube and videos in general, let alone trying to film while pumping

Yes that stretch through the woods is truly the highlight. There are a few similar stretches on the roughly five mile trail, but that one section curves gently in a meandering way and has some gentle rises that are quite fun.
Here's a video showing where that stretch ends, and you come out onto a scenic wooden bridge. Sorry for the shake of the camera and the old man groan after pumping up that gentle rise.

Hey,
New here and am looking to get into long distance for exercise and cruising on a long board. I'm up in PA and can't seem to find anyone into LDP, so I guess I'm on my own to figure it out
Anyway, MD isn't all that far so let me know of any weekend sess so I can come and check it out. The millennium trail isn't far, and I might come down to the island if I have time to get there. Know/heard of any trails in southern PA

Mooney,
We'll give a heads up next time we go for a destination ride. We've talked about a Baltimore trip this fall so let me know if that might be of interest. Feel free to PM me if you want to get on an email list.

A fun morning, indeed. Thought I'd throw a link to a few more photos and brief write-up:

Check back and we'll try to keep the latest goings-on in the Mid-Atlantic LDP country online and updated.

awesome trails guys. I hope Mooney you're able to hook up -- stay in touch here as well and we'll try to at least help you tune the technical aspect of your setup.
LDP is definitely a bit more of a solo endeavor until you run across another wandering soul or two on the trail that are looking for salvation |

Hey! Glad to see that the Maryland LDP is still active and apparently thriving! Please let me know if you guys do another event. I've been looking to do the B&A (Baltimore-Annapolis) Trail for quite some time but haven't made the time to get out. I hear it's flat, paved, and wonderful. I'll remember to pop you guys a message if my crew gets something started!
