What are the best mass-produced decks for LDP? By mass produced, I mean a deck you can order right now off Ebay and have at your door within a week.
Must have:
the right wheelbase
good flex
plenty of front foot real-estate

Just curious – How’s the durability on that board? |

Fiberflex kicktail 44.
has the right wheelbase and it has a perfect flex pattern. it even has some adjustable wheelbases in case you want to tweak.
in mine i cut the tail, but looking back at it, i would have left it for sure. i was a newbie then... ^_^
rode 96ish miles on it on my first ultraskate. ^_^

its really durable i know this because i have been riding this same trylam for years. it was a free-ride board first then into my ldp _________________ The concrete is our canvas, our wave, our playgound, our catalyst for growth. | I cant speak from personal experience, but ive heard gravity makes several great LDP boards. If i were to get a production ldp, id go for the Brad Edwards 40 '' http://www.gravityboard.com/pages/gstore/boards/be40.html but they have several others that seem appropriate for LDP. |

| I'd 2nd the S9 Trylam AND the Fibreflex. My buddy Patrick's trylam rocks, and so does Blake's. I've also got a Gravity Spoon-nose that was an LDP experiment, though I think the Gravity BE might work even better with an extra wheelbase drilled toward the back, because it's just an all-around kickass board. |

BE40 is pretty stiff, designed more for park riding.
I ride a Gravity Carve 39 quite a bit, that can pump quite well as it's got a reasonable amount of flex. |

i really do like the BE, i've been on one and though it's stiff, once you add a wheelbase or two "extra" i think you'd get a nice tight flex out of it. a few years back we were playing around with that one and a Libtech toxic surfer, which was even stiffer, but had these sick tails that you could crank up hills on. fun stuff... maybe not the best for really looooong distances. that's where the Fibreflex shines.
one thing about the s9 trylam is it seems to me like the older models flex more than the current ones... not sure, just an impression.
