I use my LDP board (Subsonic Pulse) mostly as a city surfing go-to board in Amsterdam. Therefor, I often have drop off sidewalks etc. Often, my board stalls on the edge, because the kingpin of my Bennet 5.0 fronttruck (15 deg. wedge) catches the edge of the sidewalk. Any tips on how to deal with this?

| They will be too short, unless you can get hold of some of the 80's longer GrindKings. |

That's too bad, cause the head of those grindking king pin looks like it would save the day.
Anyway, I should look for a 2.5 inch long, grade 8 bolt. What's the right diameter? |

i've mentioned it before, but i still don't have the data to back this up --my theory is that putting the threads down through the baseplate isn't so much better than having the splines down there, and that's where the Bennetts in the past have sheared.
however, i really do like the idea of using a shorter kingpin, and with a smooth shank all the way up to the head, but i would JB-weld the head into the underside of the baseplate and have the threads pointed up.
i would have tried this already, but I haven't been plagued with the broken pins personally yet. i think it's probably a really smart upgrade for riders in the 180 lbs++ bracket. |

I orderd grade 8 Randal KPs. Mine came in a set of 2. They are 2.5" and fit the 6.0. But it required a washer to space it 1 mm or so the bolt would not hang too long toward the pavement. The edges of the washer had to be grinded away so it would fit inside that little area.
I have gotten minor KP bite when crossing over the storm gutters in the street. Careful. Nothing serious enough to stop the board. I like these KPs because there is very little threading to chew up the bushings.
But I wish grind king would make a 2.5".
I think those OEM Bennet cupped washers are a good idea to use by the bolt because when they grind, its not such a big deal.
On a tangent, do you guys have problems with the bolt loosening while riding. It seems like mine is losing a 1/4 turn every 6 miles are so.
