rick, i've run into that with a hard cup and bennett, and just put a little silicon grease on the outside of the cup, then stuck a really huge screwdriver inside the cup (so I wouldn't drive a hole through it) and tapped it into the baseplate with a hammer. hopefully it'll come out as well someday.
as for squeaks, the best thing I've found is just a periodic shot of the same silicon grease. i've noticed they squeak more in the winter cold.
