Hey James, is that one of Bryan's new LDP decks?

yep!  check out my review at top of the GEAR page, got her last Friday and rode all weekend.  hot stuff -- bryan's really getting good at building!

As for the Carver bushing, I've had that same setup in my Mermaid since June of this year -- that Carver top cone feels really nice, I think it's similar to a Khiro Orange but a little taller, a little more "meat."  And surprisingly this setup has been holding up through literally hundreds of commute and weekend miles the summer, without changing the bushings, at all.

The only thing that does need addressing is the orange cone bushing nearest the baseplate, which is now flat as a pancake!   Which proves once again that the cone + barrel bushing is really just a bit too tall to fit the Bennett truck, and you have to really snug it down hard to make it fit right.

Yeah I do own a couple pink, green, and yellow Karrot bushings -- Karrot makes some great stuff!

Thanks for the link--for the last couple of months I go straight to the forum. I haven't been to the Gear page in a while.

What does anyone else think about the hourglass vrs barrel bushing, have you noticed the biting on the center of the barrel from the hanger and have you found the Hourglass more turney because of the lack of this biting

I've been kicking this idea around for a while after testing a number of the melted cone+cone bushings, holeys, and the GUS truck bushings.

In general I think the rebound on barrels tend to be better than hourglass -- see pic below  (created on extremely expensive and aesthetically impressive 3D modelling software)

Interesting theory. Gotta say I really like my custom(same size as the lower Bennet) Pink Abec11 bushing. I use an orange cone for the top but was thinking of trying the same size "Bitch" bushing instead(a little 'meatier').
Anybody try the Khiro Bitch Bushings at all?
