So far, i have 5-7 people interested in LDP..included those who already bought their new board.
Sad, but that's the truth. |
I have the same problem. I can't find a LDP specific deck in distribution channels. As long as that stays that way, LDP will be a niche within a niche. It sucks, but them's the fact Jack. I have been working with Stoked to get some LDP stuff out there as a complete. We used the Dragonfly. Good shape, just size it up on a copier once or twice. I wish that Roe would get in channels man. That would be awesome.
Oh, JP, I just found out that my track I did that cyber 5 mile on was .32 per lap, not .25 per lap. Pretty funny, no wonder my time was so screwy.

If Roe gets into the channels, he is most likely going to employ Wally Inouye as his guy. Inouye is a skate legend and lifelong supporter, he's helped Gareth at the Hood River Gorge games and is getting even more involved for next year.
His site is "Inouye's Pool Service" http://www.sk8ips.com/
The Dragonfly is a complete compromise for LDP, too narrow, too short, if you want something like a blown-up version, I'd recommend a Roe Crossfire 3.8 -- with a wider taper all the way to the rear of the board, which is better for powering off the rear foot.
Btw, I just talked with Gareth Friday and he has 20 blanks in stock waiting to be shaped.
I also am going to update the flex chart because based on some recent testing I think the current approximations are set too stiff. It should be more like:
X-Light, talk to Gareth
Light: 140--170
Med: 170--210
Stiff: 210--240
X-stiff, talk to Gareth
Chadd, you saying that you'll be sending me a cyber mile time soon?? |
