...Alright.
For my next LDP setup, i'm really thinking of getting a new set of wheels..but kinda torn between these 3..
Sky blue Avila
Orange Core 'vents
....o'tangs in heats.
Avilas are nice, having lips that...bounce back..on turns, but i'm not really sure about whether this is the blackops or the old 'thane. Rebounds quite good, especially for the shape/size.
SpeedVents, they're not as wide as the avilas, but has more rebound, and will...coast longer?
These two wheels will compliment the color of my new board really well..
InHeats, crazycrazycrazy rebound, rolls nicely, and less expensive than the other sets. However, it's slightly wider than the 'vents..and won't realyl go well with my board.
Yeah, i know style goes last, but i'm also thinking about the different feel from each sets.
hmmm...
Eric, lend me your avilas so i can abuse it for awhile plx~~
mwahaha~~
Enlightenment plz.

it seems that roe never wanted to contact us back.
We haven't heard anything back from him for like...almost a month.
sorry about that.
And yes, we will supply whatever your LDP need is.....as long the seller/distibutor/asdf replies back.
...and i'm set on using inheats for my LDP setup. |

Just got back from LDP with Eric.
2 words for the otangs:
fu*k yeah!
screw bigzigs, i'm sticking to otangs. The performance gap is ridiculous..Even for a board that's not meant to be an LDP deck, these wheels really impressive..
At first, i thought it's only the hype, but sadly it isn't. It's the performance of the wheels that surprised me.
otangs > EW Superballs > bigzigs.
bwahahahaha~~ |

about the Roe and dealership / distribution -- he'd have to be cranking out more boards per week before to get 'serious' about it. last I heard with him he's just looking at options for now, but not aggressively. also, if you were moving a lot of LDP-specific boards, or had some way to show there's a ton of local interest in it, that would be a compelling reason to distribute in any particular skate shop.
as for the O-tangs... it's always good when there are more choices to be had, some 'healthy competition' in the industry so to speak. and Loaded's strategy is to stick to a simple formula and not complicate it, the more options they offer, the more their production cost goes up, and eats into their bottom line -- hence, they release in two sizes and only one durometer. which is just one reason why they're not taking the slalom world by storm yet. the top racers still like to tinker, 86a or 88a in front, and anywhere from 80a--86a in the back, and at least 2 if not 3 sizes, until it's dialed perfectly for grip and speed.
just on sight, the O-tangs look like a perfectly fine cruising/pumping/sliding wheel.
faster than zags? one way to prove a "ridiculous performance gap" would be -- an official Cyber Mile time.

I'll do it.
Under my feet, the difference between the bigz & otangs is really noticeable.
About Roe, yes, i believe we told him about the skate shop...but still no reply at all. I have numbers of people that interested in LDP, but sadly, no LDP-specific board that we have, and throwing them loaded / rayne instead.
So far, i have 5-7 people interested in LDP..included those who already bought their new board.
Sad, but that's the truth. |

Cyber Mile huh? Well then sounds like we about to get this party started...
O I have to agree with you on the otangs, even at an 80a they just feel right. It's like you get the best of everything. What I noticed most is when you jam on them they seem to bounce back at you without feeling sticky or mushy. They felt quit good in the Walgreens parking lot doing backside hand slides. Very predictable...
