Since I rather dream about getting a new set of wheels for my coming Mermaid than work, would like to hear your thoughts on wheels.
What are you riding? What do you like/dislike about them?
What did you ride? Why are you not riding it any longer?

| I love my 76mm 82a Superballs. They are very grippy and plush, but not too soft. I haven't found them to be slow. When I'm skating on the best surfaces I put some orange BigZigs in front. I recently ordered a pair of lemons. I've ridden pink ones and I've found them a bit soft for my liking. They're nice, but I don't require them for the surfaces I ride on. I'm curious about the InHeats (for the person that voted for them: how do they compare to some of the other wheels?) |

I love my Gumballs in 78 and 75a for rough stuff. I also like the BZ lemon/lime combo for better pavement. I have measured my BZs and Speedvents...I find that the BZs are wider though they say that they are not than the Speedvents. My 77mm SVs are at 55mm as said, but my BZs are not 53mm they are measuring at 57. What's up with this? Am I measuring the BZs incorrectly? The BZs also visually look bigger than the supposed 77mm Speedvents. I do love my speedvents though. I didn't at first, but with about 300 miles on them now, they sing down the road. I have the 79a blued ones and am saving for the purple ones to see if the 84a and 79a combo will work just as well as the BZ lemon/lime combo. _________________ I won't quit my day job. |

good point, meant the Blast Wave spot to be Avila's... oops, can't change it now.
I'm leaning toward Avila's... so tell me about them. I maxed out the poll options. |

| Just got the "Avila 75mm x 65mm 81a" ----JP pick them for a reason......There sick!!!!! You can really feel the extra lip on them when you pump. Wish they had a higher duro though... |

glad to hear it about the Avila's... I think I probably will pick up a set.
The only question will be what duro and whether to run them straight or in a combo. The roads are pretty rough around here.
72a - Purple
73a - Red
77a - White
78a - Clear Red (do these really exist, I saw them on Daddies, may be a misptrint?)
81a - Blue
Not really into the combo colors, but I guess you get use to it or get the two reds.... hmmm..... ? |

I was stuck on BZ lemons. I do like the harder duro on primo pavement. But I do have an 8 mile stretch that I was missing out on because it is a bit rough and more of a pusher. I'm really planning on pushing these around all over to see if I can get the best of both trails. Crazy - they look like they would not feel good because of the extra lip. But it's quit the opposite, it's as if the lip gives you leverage to perpetuate the pump. JP let me ride a pair before, I think I was just too wet behind the ears to appreciate them.
I sure do miss JP |
