Which LBL Walkabout should i get?Hi everyone,
I am planning on buying a Walkabout in the very near future. My weight is always right on the border of 180 lbs, so i dont know if i should get Medium flex Deck (for riders up to 180 lbs) or Stiff flex Deck (for riders up to 240 lbs). In the summer im usually at my lightest, id say around 170, and that is when i would be riding the most considering it is crappy here most of the rest of the year.
I am 26 years old so i think i am done growing. So as long as my metabolism doesnt drop sharply in the next couple years i shouldnt weigh a ton more. I am 5'11".
Im afraid if i get the medium flex it might have too much flex, and the stiff one might be too stiff.
What would you guys do?

I said medium because I'd rather have a bit too much flex than too little.
Though choosing the stiff one might make more sense seeing as the flex will get more saggy over time, but in the end I bet that you're going to buy more boards before the pluses of the stiff flex overweight the feel of the medium.

I agree with jat. Im 200lbs and ive ridden a medium flex, its not horrible for me. Chances are if you do a lot of ldp you may lose some weight too.

i'm around 175lbs myself, and find (or found) the medium flex on mine to be perfect.
it'll depend (a little) on the wheelbase you're more comfortable with too...the Walkabout stiffens up progressively as you bring the rear truck forward.
beautiful deck to look at and to ride, carves and pumps supremely, and handles some DH nicely. i love the unique old-skool surf look it has, coupled with hi-tech materials. and, luckily like most things LDP, made by hand with care and love.
the only other thing i'd really dig on mine? a small tail kick, for emergency maneuvers and (moreso) for curb drops.
