The new "Bentley Longboards LDP"...

You may recognize this post. I also posted it over on the 'fish.
But I thought I'd post here as well as this site is dedicated to these board.
So, a few weeks ago I ran into Pie Bentley of "Bentley Longboards" while riding along Alki here in Seattle. We got to talking about the boards he makes
(I'd also seen a few he'd made a couple months earlier at the 'DragonFly Skate Jam') & I metioned how I was looking into getting an 'LDP Deck'
but was discouraged by the limited availability & long wait times. This seemed to peak his interest so after discusing some preferences &
places to research LDP's he came up with this: (please ignore the wheel bite marks :p )

I just picked the colors & added the trucks, bearings & wheels. It took me a bit to tweak the bushings & risers
but now this thing pumps like a beast!
Here are the specs: "Board is 38.5" x 10", wheel base starts at 26.5 and goes back every inch for 4 adjustments.
1/2' camber 2 1/4 baltic birch laminated with 5 oz fiberglass and epoxy resin...color option is up to you."

His email is: piedogger@comcast.net the cost for the board should be somehwere around $135.
Now if only we'd get some nice weather around here, again.  Cool
I'd like to get some real time on this board.

Really, really cool.
I've never even heard of Bentley longboards before, but it looks like a nicely built board, that's got craftsmanship right into the details.  I love the old school speed-racer sort of look to it, like how he precision cut the grip tape around the stripe and logo.

What's the flex like on that board?

Best I can descibe it is at the full length of it's wheelbase, at my 185lbs, it feels about medium flex.
Not as flexy as my Hustler or my 44" Fiberflex Pintail.
But definitely more flex than my budddies S9 Cosmic Series.

It'll be great to meet you, and see that board in action at the ultraskate!!  Did we chat at all at the Dfly jam?   That's the first place I'd seen the Bentleys.

Btw -- so far it IS looking like good weather this weekend   Cool

How do All Wink

Really nice looking board, but I just can't stop myself thinking about guitars when I see the design on top of the deck  Laughing Hey the wheel bight marks add character to the deck.

Take care,
Barry Wink

Your probably talking about "Pie Bentley", I'm just one of the people testing out his new board & helping to spread the word.
He said he'll be there Saturday, I should be there sometime too in the afternoon.
Here's a couple more of he just built of this model, now dubbed "The Syphon":

cool, hope to meet down there, but to be honest i wont' be much of a talker at the event unless its before or after sunday morning...my plan is to keep moving this time...  on Sunday 8 a.m. i'll just be a drooling fool, but we usually go to Beth's for breakfast right afterward.

it'll be great to see the boards in action!
