The FibreFlex 44" verses the Sector 9 TR3Hello, I am a longboarder coming over to the LDP side.
I weigh in at 220 lbs at 6' -late 40's. I am frugal, and at present cannot afford the Subsonic Pulse that is on my "bucket list". Any who, I am looking into the more beginner entry decks.
Any advice when comparing the Fibreflex 44" kick tail to the Sector 9 trylam?

I personally haven't ridden either but I hear nothing but good things about the trylam. I would go with whatever people seem to have more success with and if you read through teh numerous posts, I think you'll find that the trylam is what's mentioned most aside from a mermaid, pulse, or a walkabout. I hope this helps some.

turn key LDPThis 42" seismic looks pretty close to a turn key LDP. Not exactly budget deck but stoked has them on sale at the moment. Even the complete looks like it would work. I am jsut wondering how it rides. Cool design too. I wish fiberflex would make something with a little more nose area. Their aspen/mahogany looks really nice.

I recently setup a 44 Fibreflex kicktail for LDP - and I find that it is just too heavy for me. I'm running wedged/dewedged bennetts and 71mm Alligators on it.
I was on a 37" Surf One Kelp Forest and I wanted longer wheelbase and more concave for my feet. The G&S is a nice deck but it felt heavy without the trucks mounted, and my kelp forest was feather like compared to it.
Any recommendations for a hybrid LDP deck with a kicktail? Need 24-27" wheelbase - I'm thinking Gravity Bamboo Spoon Nose 42" right now.
