Shorty Howell Park - Duluth GA.

Hey, I am Chadd/Camel from the "Fish". PW/JP sent me the link to the forum.

2.1 mile loop around the park and a 1/4 mile oval track. Lots of carving and light dh on the outside loop, I stay mostly on the track for exercise. This is where I did my Cyber 5 Mile. This is the lunchtime ride daily, only it's typically 3 miles.

nice to have that in your work's backyard!    wonder if you can ever get some buddies out and hit the track together--  we did that at the velodrome a few times, they usually think its pretty nuts to start with but that's one place the "mile" concept really clicks-  especially to guys who run or used to run, they notice how much easier it is to clock miles in the 4--6 minute range, and actually have some fun doing it.   good warmup for doing other things too like a slide or slalom session, that's how we followed it up.   cool lookin place!

Typically, I follow it up by hard carving the back trail since it is curvy and downhill a good portion of the way. Then a little drifting in the large curved parking lot just to the left of the track, that is all downhill. Lots of fun.

Hey man, by the way, the guys from Roe don't answer their email. Sucks.

And Adam Colton posted a story about me on the A-squared blog.

Chadd, that's impressive!!   Thanks for sharing that info, what a testament to your focus and follow through--  it's awesome that longboarding is a key part of the changes you're making.

I checked and saw your mail to Roe from 3/19, that's just a couple days ago, so I'd expect you hear from Gareth by early next week.   I know there's been slow email responses from him in the past, and in fact *I* am the one who goes through the MOST frustration, truth be told--   but Gareth's a full time Director in his "other" life so an email delay of a couple days is not unusual.   Anyway I've pinged him for ya.

And yeah this morning was an early one, I got a 30-miler in, launching just as the sun came up and the air was still icy, wish I had worn my gloves!

Anyway you wrote some inspiring vibes on the weight loss, I hope others will read, and the contagion spread   Very Happy
