Sector 9 Race Formula offset wheelsI am really liking the 77mm/77a. Stacago dyed them black. They make 2 duros and two sizes in these slalom-shaped weels. I opted for the 77mm orver the 74mm. They work great so far: smooth, fast, great grip and rebound. Great all around LDP wheel, IMO.

I'm currently looking at these too. I've got a set of the round lip 70mm Race wheels and like them.

I've tried them on a general purpose carving set up. I liked them too. I felt they were very close in quality and performance to the Abec 11 stuff.
If I remember right, they were quite a bit less expensive too. Not bad.
S9 deserves a bit more respect than get (on SF anyway).
I think a lot of the anti S9 feelings are from people who used their gear back when Pivot trucks and Grease Ball bearings were standard on their completes. I'm still not crazy about the new Gullwing trucks...and they might still use grease balls, but overall I think their gear is pretty good.
Some of their decks are more high tech and better than average. And some aren't. But overall I think S9 is better than its reputation (again on silverfish anyway).

More miles and more good things to say. I really like ride on these. They are smooth and quite and reasonably fast. They are on my Pulse Syndrome at the moment. They will be going on my Gbomb Illuminati as soon as my bennett 6.0 gets the pivot mod done. This will be my travel board so 77mm/77a seems like a good all-purpose wheel for conquering new a paved wave in far away places.
They are reasonably priced, but its still a $50/set wheel. Its a higher quality thane and a bigger wheel so they are more than the regular S( offerings. You generally only see the center set ones, not the slalom ones.
I will try to post some A/B pics the 75mm Big Zigs.

I noticed you didn't ruin the bowl.
That must be an old wive's tale that you ruin the bowl when you dye wheels.
The black is holding up well and there is no hint that these started out as fly yellow.
I really like the width of these too.
I think the 74mm must be nice too, like a well worn BZ.
edit: you can see the wheels on my illuminati.
Hopefully, I should be getting my modded 6.0 with spherical pivot. Kudos to Stacago for lending me his for now. The illuminati is going to be my travel board and the S9 wheels should handle any pavements I encounter.
