OK, how about a loaded pintail for the deck?

The loaded pintail deck seems the right length and wheelbase, not sure if it is wide enough?  I have not seen how wide the deck is, but it looks like at least 9".  I can get one of these made of vertical laminated oak for $60.  Is this a good first step toward building a board which is easy to pump around the neighborhood?

Thanks, Matt

i would grab it, that's a great deal!

i personally like more nose, and closer to 10" wide, but those are just my prefs.  i'm sure as you keep at this, you'll want to experiment with other shape and size boards.

I got this deck, and initially what a disappointment.  It did not seem any better, ok maybe slightly, than my kracked skulls M1, which is 48" long with a  38.5" wheelbase.  I was about to give up on it then last night it happened.  I stopped trying to do what I thought was right, and was just riding the board.  picked up a little speed from a small depression, then up a 150' incline which raises probably 3 - 5'.  up, up, and away!  still not sure how I made it, except I was totally in tune with the rhythm of just flowing up the hill.  I have climbed small inclines before on my M1, but always struggling my the top to really drive the board around.   I am not sure I slowed down much going up this little hill.  I'ts just a reminder of what I thought may be the case, each board rides different, and I need to experiment with what works best for me on the given board.   Sort of an epiphany of pumping.

I still have yet to get the right trucks and wheels for this deck, so all the more stoke for me!
