Not sure this is a truck question......but it's certainly truck related. Yesterday is the third time since the March ultraskate that I have broken the head off the lower left front truck mount.
I'm using this hardware: http://www.stokedskateboards.com/hardwareset.html. I'm replacing the broken bolt with a brand new one and I'm being careful not to over tighten it. Anyone have an idea what's going on? |

I had the same problem with my pulse when i put it together, busted the heads off like 6 bolts. I found that using a soft riser or wedge and tightening it down less stopped the problem. I also used "tall" nylon washers, theyre duper deep and are bowl shaped at the top. It allows the head of the bolt to sit at a more natural angle instead of straight up against the deck. It does add an odd feel to the front though so it might not be right for you (i personally like it a lot but other people hate it).

I think panda is right. I had the same problem which was fixed by using softer risers and after tightening them down all the way, loosening them just a tad. |
