I saw them, too and they piqued my interest. Here's my thoughts:
1. The narrow width is intriguing, less rolling resistance, perhaps they would work up front, but probably not enough traction for rear wheel use even with a super sticky truck like a Seismic
2. The rounded edges are not ideal for LDP in either the front or rear. Rounded edges are for sliding, and that comes at the expense of traction. If you pump hard, you need all the traction you can get.
3. They only come in 83a. I have both 83a and 80a Otangs, and I feel the 83a is the superior duro - just as comfy, but gets better traction.

These wheels are probably not an ideal choice for LDP, but there is only one way to find out for sure.

Yes I agree! I have the Durian for a serious pumping unusable! For slalom never already!
even when my Dervish to buy croissants, I prefer to gently ...

but its a nice wheel to play...

I got them thinking I might not mind the lip rounded for pumping. Yeah they slide a bit nicer. But I miss the lip for better leverage. I also don't like 83a for an all around duro. Just a wee bit too hard on the rough stuff. Will try these on the ditches today. I suspect they may take over as my ditch wheels because of their size..

Can't say I like them more than the Retro's, they do slide well and the fact that they're broke in already is a nice touch. I do like the idea of having more urethane to burn through.

But as for pumping and LDP.....don't bother. I agree with everyone above.

So when I now go regularly 3 weeks with durian(dervish/852grizzlies) primarily from city A to B, but also to the carving of 28mph, I must say ... it works fine!
A very good wheel ... I wish they would have edges ...!
For the serious LDP is it to critical, but without asking for a short shopping tour, carving,freeride and just have fun absulute top!

I got a pair of the durians as an experiment for the front truck. I've always been impressed with the purple inheats' speed and grip (surprisingly) so I figured the durians would be fast rolling, but how important is the contact patch/square edges in front for LDP? I took them to the track for a cyber mile and was impressed. I don't think they're faster than orange bigzigs, but I can't say they're slower either. Since most choose their wheels for comfort, not speed, I wouldn't recommend getting these. But if you've already got them, try them out in front on good pavement.

I have started to cone these, so the inner lip is square. I have moved these to the back as an experiment and I am getting no slip. I have a very dead rear truck that grips like mad.

I'm now using the new 86a yotangs in front on this setup.
