My new home build "OM"How Do All
Here are a few pictures of my new home build.
I have named this one "OM"
I made it to have the same wheel centres as my LBL Walkabout setup,. this was my first attempt using fibre glass and carbon fibre to skin the deck and I have managed to get the flex of the board to match my Walkabout.

It rides very nice and this is the first board I have made that I would be happy to take out for the day and leave my Walkabout at home.

That back truck is really intriguing Barry - do you prefer the flat to the angled rear bracket? Seems like the flat one would be better for generating power off the rear since it's already closer to "dewedging"

How Do James
I prefer the more steeply angled bracket, the reasons being:
The flat version was better for creating more power but left your rear foot feeling like it was just there for the ride, I opted for the steeper angle as it gave a better feel and I felt like I was able to work the board with both legs.
The angled version; even though at a very steep angle over 25* has very little turning ability, in fact it turns less than a RTS de-wedged at 11* I think the geometry of the truk I have made has a different effect on this type of board.
My NoSno has the same angled brackets front and rear but the axles are over 400mm wide the deck is also so flexi that when you jump up and downon the spot the deck bottoms out, in a turn the angle of the brackets steepens even more because of this, so on a very stiff deck the 25* angle has little effect.
Before I added the carbon and glass the OM deck would bottom out too as it was so flexi and this gave a very carvy feel to the deck, after adding the carbon and glass the deck stiffened up considerably and the carvy feel was deadened and replaced by a more direct drive to the front truk.
I am still playing with this idea but I do not feel that it will go anywhere further than just good fun, I think the rear truk bracket Eric is using combined with the RTS or similar truk will give a better ride and to change the angles you don't have to keep making new brackets
In the end I just love to make things and experiment with new stuff, you know I could buy a lot of what I make off the shelf but that holds no fun for me, apart from that keeping my mind busy stops me from wanting to top myself.

I am hoping to make another one after Xmas, it is so fecking cold here that I had to take the wetted out deck inside just to start the thing curing, one good thing though is that you get plenty of time to apply the resin in the cold so no rushing around, it is just a shame that I did the carbon first and made my mistakes on the bit you can see, the glass top came out so sweet that I did not want to grip the deck.
I think the next one will come out cool though.
