Bump with a new link that works. Let me know what you guys think. I know I'm the only guy who pumped and that was only for a little bit but I know there's some long distance pushers on here...

Looks like a fun quick course with some wicked obstacles... running over the bridge to get around the puddle was funny reminds me of Portland Pusher series (ten cross-town push races over 4-5 years) where one year they jumped over/through a moving train.
These types of events have a lot of curb appeal, especially to the younger DH crowd. When I travel a few hours for a race I want the event itself to last an hour (or much longer) that starts to appeal to me. But I'm an older guy who wants to see more scenery of the city while I'm "racing" so take that with a grain of salt.
What I think would be a really cool format is a multiple destination ride, going about five miles each time to about 4 or 5 destinations for a quick bite/drink and 15 min rest (could also be turned into a "pub crawl"!!?) then from the last stop, a last 5--10 mile "race" to the finish. So around 25-30 miles total. That would give the distance-endurance guys an advantage on the course and still have a lot of time to just chill and ride, which is what 90% of the people there show up for anyway. The last Portland Pusher was kind of like this --- the group stopped at certain skate spots to shred and reconvene for the next "leg" of the course -- but the last sprint was just a few blocks and uphill, so it was really a long distance cruise + sprint race.

Wow the pub crawl does sound like an awesome idea! Every time I read your event listings an ideas it brings me closer and closer to finally making the move out west. Because here, you are surrounded by miles upon miles of extremely flat terrain, but having some mountains and hills would be heaven!

we have a pub crawl distance race in toronto and were going to start one in vancouver I think. Entry pays for drinks, you get random beverages at each stop. some people have harder drinks then others total lucky of the draw.
