Landyachtz Wedge-Flex for LDP?Is the LY Wedge-Flex a viable LDP candidate? I like the looks of the "natural" front wedging. Then I noticed in James' pictures in the "Lost in Tokyo" piece that it looked like he was using one of these boards.
Also, if it is a good LDP board, how should I set it up?
Thanks for any help. I am pretty new to this. I started longboarding 6 months ago, and after some frustration learned to wiggle pump a 27" board with a Bennett 5.0/Tracker RT-S 129 combo. I then transferred these trucks to medium sized board (25" wheelbase), and I'm getting the feel for the longer LDP pump. It is exciting. So I am starting to think down the road at something with a longer wheelbase.
I know boards like the Roe, LBL, etc. would be better overall, but I am trying to keep my cost down until I know I am going to stick with this.

those trucks should work great on the LY. the one i set up in japan had only splitfires front and back, and they were even narrower. the only thing I really missed was deck width, but thats mainly a personal preference. the deck itself has great construction...similar to a fibreflex.
I'd just make sure to set up the trucks and wheels on the front completely first, crank it hard by hand to make sure no wheelbite issues, then put enough riser in the rear to match the height of the front--- can be a little different than most setups since that board has an upturned nose.

James, thanks for the advice and congratulations on 208 miles! Unbelievable. Makes you wonder how many miles you would have had without the rain.
I feel like I am really taking off now. I was cruising along Sunday, kept on accelerating, and then it dawned on me that for the next few weeks I need to paractice more foot-braking than pumping.
Do you have a guess of how many degrees that front nose is wedged on the LY?
Thanks again!
