In need of stoke for healing...

Man, I am getting really bummed with all this good weather passing and me being on the DL with my shoulder. I got to spend 15 minutes on my Dancer, on flat ground, at the beach, in the sun, with the headphones on. That was awesome. Until my wife kicked my ass for cross stepping and playing around when I told her I was going out to push around. I guess I got a little wrapped up in the music and sunshine. I just want to be done with this healing mess... Wow, this one was a whopper to get over.

How you feeling?  A friend of mine is just getting over a shoulder injury...  He had it popping out all the time for a few weeks and dissapeared for a while.  He's skating again now...  I was gettin lonely.

Hang in there!  /end motivational poster

IMO, ANY rolling while injured (within reason of course) is beneficial not to your brain/stoke, but to the injury also.

with my recent slew of offs (i've been a real klutz the last year) i gave each injury a week to calm, then got back on the board gently to keep things moving and flexible.  nothing radical, some old flow bowls and gentle downhill carving.

my last injury was a hip slam when i hit a curb trying to drift around a tight-ass corner...that was near murder (felt like a hairline fracture below where i hit), but with each mellow session afterwards it felt much much better than before i went for a roll (as long as i wasn't pushing).

i find that sometimes the stoke in ya itching to get out is almost as good as the stoke when you're rolling.  kinda like when the excitement of an overseas trip is greater when packing than when you get on the plane...
