I did 45 miles on monday.

I live in St.Pete Fl. We have a trail here called the Pinellas trail. It's 37 mi long, and it is one hell of a great place to skate. I live about 2 miles from the spot where I hit the trail. So this is my warm up, cool down space. On monday I headed north decided to go to the end and back. the trail distance to the end from there is 21.5 miles. The trail is paved well with over passes at most of the heavy traffic areas. The trail it self is wide enough to accommodate all the bike, inline, and pedestrian traffic and still leave enough space for the kooks like me. I do not pump much, maybe 1 of every 10 miles. though I try to maintain at least a 7 to 10 mph clip.I don't quite skog.  I do switch legs.
Any way, the trail was quiet and the day was warm. I got home with 45miles on the GPS in about 4hr 45min. I was not attempting any records, just enjoying a day out on the trail.
If any body is near the Pinellas Trail, give it a go. It conceals itself well in this urban environment for the most part. but, you are all ways close to a bus to get you back if you push to far. and I would love to see some other longboard enthusiasts out there.

NICE!  Sounds like an awesome ride.  Why you gotta be clear across the country?   Hope to hear more and maybe someday see some shots of the more scenic area of the trail--- sounds really wide, which is always great for pumping, which tends to freak people out even when you're giving them 2/3 of the trail!

In case you find other great trails and want to post them up in another place as well -- this link seems to speak to the worldwide audience the best to my knowledge:  http://www.local124.com/portal/index.php?option=com_gmroute

Funny you mention not trying to attempt a record- I've found not actually trying is exactly when you go your farthest and have the most fun in the process!
