FYI: AirflowsMy beautiful blue airflow came today, yayyy! Just a tip though, the baseplate is only drilled for OLD SCHOOL BOLT PATTERN. Sk8kings didnt mention this on the site, oh well. I guess ill have to wait a few days to mount it, my pulse is only drilled for new school
Edit: I may have mis-spoke in my original post. I got a little mixed up and I belive the holes that the orion baseplate has are new school, not old. its the smaller of the two drillings. Sorry for any confusion.

Just got mine, too, a 110 in black. Isn't it beautifully crafted? You get what you pay for. I took a 6 hole baseplate, and bolted it facing the Orion baseplate. I used a drill, without a press. Using the baseplate as a guide, I drilled the 2 extra holes for the Old-School mount. It worked well, and the board is now mounted. Tomorrow I'll ride it for the first time.
I set mine up on my Mermaid on the long WB with 10 degrees dewedge.
A couple of things I've noticed:
Using this truck moves the axle slightly toward the center of the board, in comparison with an RTS or Seismic. I suspect the Mermaid will have slightly less flex.
Even with 10 degrees de-wedge, it seems very turney for a rear truck.

How Do all
Maybe a Seismic Stable Turn 30* with red (light) springs will solve both your issues for a fraction of the cost?
Just a thought
Take care,

Panda put a green Radikal bushing or a blue Stim or any wide bushing as bottom, it will be much more stable.
I haven't tried the new Venom (Stimulators shape)model, but I think they could work well in the harder duros.

Yeah I've run snugged-down blue Rads, green stims, and red khiros on my Splitfires and they always felt nice and snappy. Right now my tight slaloms got blue Rad and blue Khiro but cranked down pretty hard -- turny but comes right back to center.
Panda's been shredding some of the harder barrel Venoms but I'd also be curious to see how the Stim-shaped ones hold up.
For a reasonably priced high-performance truck the Airflow/Splits are still just about as grippy as it gets.

lately ive been using 92a green venom bottom and 90a red venom top on my trackers. Like i said, i havent had a chance to mount the airflow yet so i cant really speak as to its stability or turnyness. I can only pass along its reputation, which is excellent. And i can tell you it is beautifully crafted.

A tracker RTX baseplate should work. An Orion hanger fits on a RTX baseplate, so perhaps that would work. If I remember correctly, an Independent baseplate doesn't work very well (it almost fits)

I got the sk8kings custom bushing setups for my 200lbs for my new set of trucks. For the Airflow I think its a pink venom barrel on bottom and a blue Superball barrel on top. I also just changed my front to a RTX 106 with white khiro barrel on bottom and orange Bitch on top with the washer flipped. This setup feels very fluid. And I feel that the Airflow sticks about as well as the Seismic, but without the harsh and noisy ride. For those who prefer the feel of a bushing truck, I'd say the Airflow is totally worth the coin.

Rwadley, youre right, it does fit quite nicely on an RT-X baseplate. I took my rtx off my slalom deck and stuck it on the pulse with the airflow hangar and its working great. I can literally feel it pushing the board forward, it feels very precise. Im not sure im even going to try to redrill for the orion baseplate, the rtx seems to be working great.

I just picked one up for $5 today from an unsuspecting skate hsop.
Pix:
I'm not sure how wide it is. Do they even make a 129? I'm hoping to use it on my slalom board.
EDIT: I measured it and it's a hair shy of 5", which puts it at about 125mm. A little too big for slalom methinks...

You're a lucky guy, and yes they make 129mm. You can use it for GS or for LDP with a Bennett 5.0 as front truck.
$5 bucks, I can't believe it.

Well hot dang... I couldn't believe it either. I really wanted to tell them how much it was worth and stuff but I just bit my tongue and said, "Alright, $5 is pretty reasonable."
