Foamcore LDP protos for sale

I have a few prototypes for sale.  Two new, two thoroughly ridden.

The new ones are a red and an orange off the same mould as the purple deck.  I have not weighed them yet but they will be around 38-40oz.  Purple weighs 36oz and these have an additional layer of glass.  They have 5/16" concave and 3/4" camber.  38"x10" overall, 27"-30" adjustable wheelbase.  Will work well on the longest setting if you are around 160 to 180lbs.  Glass/carbon/60psi foam/maple/epoxy construction.  There are some minor cosmetic blemishes in the finish that will dissapear with a dusting of road grime.  They aren't drilled yet so I can do new or old school patterns.  Asking $160+shipping.

Pinky is also for sale, new school drilling, 3/8" concave, 3/8" camber.  Make an offer or trade.  Wanting nice front/rear slalom truck(s) for trades.

I'm considering selling the purple one too but it has a little crack in it from many months ago that is not growing any.  If you want it, make me an offer or trade.  EDIT: I will patch the crack for my dad's sake (don't tempt fate son)

Both Pink and Purp will be provided cleaned up with fresh poly on the bottom to get rid of scuffs and scratches.  Top side and grip dirty looking but in good condition.  Not shown in the pics but pink, orange, and red will get logos and poly.

Summary:
Pink-  trade or best offer
Purp- trade or best offer
Orange/Red- $160 ea.  Will drill to order NS/OS
Shipping-$20 ea for all decks.

they are very nice i really wish they were more in my price range
dustm

Thanks Blake.

If the new ones don't draw any interest at the listed prices (which they very well may not...  I had to start somewhere) then I'll start taking best offers.

In the mean time feel free to throw out offers...  I may get a better idea what to expect for these.  I'm new to this!

I did weigh them and both the red and orange decks are right around 40oz (2.5lb) w/o grip

I just wanted to comment on the shape of these decks. I have one, although it's not a foamcore, and I have to say it's my favorite shaped LDP deck. I have a Pulse and Mermaid, and although it's similar to the Roe in shape, it's a tad wider overall and fuller for the front foot. The concave is very mellow, so it's super comfy for long distances. It's also nice to not have to use as much riser because of the wheelwells.

So what's the construction of your board?  What is your set up and what risers/wedges did you need?

I like the idea of light weight and the wheel well shape.  The decks look good.

2.5 lbs.....hmmmm   what's a Mermaid, a Pulse, a Walkabout and a GTCP/LDP weigh?  I'm sure they are quite a bit heavier but I'd love to know the weight specs on all the decks.  I'd guess in order from lightest to heaviest it would be;

dustm's foam cores

mermaid

walkabout

pulse

gtcp/ldp

But if JP ever gets a chance to weigh them all....or if anyone would care to supply the data it would be interesting.  And probably a great selling point/advertisement for Bryan's decks.

Nice work on those!
stocago

Mine was made with 3 bb plys, a heavy dose of glass, a full sheet of carbon on the bottom and CF hatching on top. I'm not sure what its weight is, but it's my heaviest and stiffest deck, probably more suited for a 200 pound rider, but I really like it. Again, this is not a foamcore. My Pulse is next heaviest and my Mermaid is by far the lightest, but it's also the light flex and has the least materials.

As far as the setup, the wheelwells probably require about a third to quarter-inch less riser, I'm guessing. I've got it set up now with a Bennett 6.0 and two angled risers.
blake

are you in to DH i doubt you are but i have an earthwing mystery model that i would trade for any of them. its only got some cosmetic scratchs on the bottem.
bluebugbuster

hmmm... I like this, but my checkbook can't justify the price.

How about a trade? One "yet to arrive" Nanotech Insect Mosquito for an undrilled red one? Can I justify that?
dustm

Hmm, yes, except after it arrives...  Are they doing that for all their decks or something?  Or is this a joke?  At any rate, if/when you get I'm sure I'll have sometihng nice around to trade.  lol

Blake I'm considering your offer.  I have a dh deck I've been working on so I don't really need it.  What color?  Can you post a pic of it?

Thanks for the kind words Greg.  The deck I made right before yours was the same but with an additional layer of 1/16 maple on the 3bb.  I have it sitting here, it weighs 61oz (3.8lb).  The core is 3/8" thick on the foamies so in theory thats the amount of riser you don't have to use.  I run my bennet on two Khiro wedges, pulled out from the back so the screws go through the front most holes, dropping it lower (new school drilling).

A difference between the red/orange decks and the pink/purple thats hard to see is the nose flare on the core.  This just stiffens the front foot area some.  Pink and purp are not showing any signs of weakness up there because of the glass thickness but it will allow me to do lighter layups later.  As I build these I keep tweaking the core shape.  After buckling the edge of the 28oz Zylon/carbon deck the other day I have modified the core again for the next ones.
blake

Here is the mystery model

dustm

Any offers before these go on the feesh?

Lowball me.  Its worth a shot.  I'd rather you guys have them.
blake

did you like the EW Mystery model? or is that a no?
dustm

Blake, if I thought I could turn around and and sell it quick I would take you up on the offer but I'm really after some cash for materials ASAP and I don't want to try to deal with finding a home for yet another deck.
blake

true i understand just keep me posted on that though.
dustm

What are you currently riding for LDP?  I may have some other decks laying around that might be of use to you.
blake

i am currently riding a S9 trylam
dustm

thats good.  all the other misfit decks i have are closer to slalom length and less suited than your trylam.
LDPanda

Blakes trylam is a beast. Great setup, tons o fun.
blake

yeah i know i was just seeing if i could get one with more foot space in the front and i like how much camber the trylam has and the red/orange seem to be pretty close to that.
dustm

Update:  Red and purple are going to new homes!  Still available are pink and orange.

Yeah blake the full LDP shape are the only decks I have that would be better than the trylam.  You could frankenstein it and add some width somehow.

Also, a new mould is finished and the next iteration deck should be out shortly including some tuning on the core shape.  Only change to the mould is tweaking the camber shape to reduce the 'dewedge' feel some.  Still 3/4".
