So I picked this up from Pavedwave. It's a Fatboy Asymmetrical LDP board. I have seen a couple of Boe's slalom boards and figured I needed to add one to the collection. I figured the weird shape would be fun to have, because it's weird, right?

James said it was a stiff flex, and when I threw some trucks on it, he was right. I figured at 200 pounds, I'd get some flex, but it really felt stiff compared to my Pulse.

Oh, well, whatever, time to take it for a spin. And you know what? This thing freaking ROCKS!!! There is some really great energy stored in the subtle flex. The first night out I was racing the sun going down, but ripped off 3-4 of the easiest miles i can remember.

There's no concave on it, but it still feels great under foot. One of the reasons I couldn't quite get used to my Galac was that it almost felt convex, but this feels great.

One of the cool things about the board is that it's v-lam bamboo and quite thick at the ends, but gets thinner in the middle. Hopefully Momma Boe will chime in here, but I assume it's to give it some flex. Check it out...

I'm going to be riding this a lot and will try to post up some more info as I do, but if you want something different, this might be it!

By the way, current set up is a 4.3 Bennett at 15*, Sabre cones top and bottom, (actually it's shortened, but spaced back to about 4.3)
Airflow 110 rear, Dewedged 9* w/ Sabre barrel bottom, Indy cone top

So good that this board is back out shredding asphalt again, I'm glad that flex is working out for you. Fatboy Boe is a great guy to work with as well, if you ever have questions or mods you wanted to do with it down the road.

Also thought I'd share this article on the logic behind the assymetrical design, applied to snowboarding and surfing... pretty cool stuff.

I had a 36" deck from Boe that was the best pumping deck I've ridden. It had Geezer modded Trackers on it. Been very sorry that I got rid of it. You might have just convinced me to pull out the wallet and get a new one from him.

My Fatboy LDPer (stretched Thundermonkey) showed up this weekend. I'll be putting it together this week and maybe get to try it out next weekend. Will post up pics after it's together.
