Delaminations? Now i've only put around 50kms on my LBL Walkabout, and it's starting to show some folds in the griptape...not a worry methinks, the board flexes some and so a bit expected...
Except when I looked at them closer and found that the top glass sheet is pulling away from the rest of the board at these spots. Flex is starting to noodle a bit too since owning it.
WTF? Anyone else seen this? While the board is a beaut to pump, carve, and even bomb some hills, i'm quite disappointed in the finish/quality of the machine - shape is off, concave has a wobble on one side, edges haven't been finished off, rear truck holes are drilled wonky (so much so that on the rear-most holes, the rear truck doesn't even line up straight).
Now i'm seriously considering a Mermaid or a Pulse 2.0...pity the exchange rate for me blows at the moment.
Grrr!

I agree with Pavedwave. I don't know when you purchased this board, or for that matter when it was actually made. But last fall I know Larry was making a new mold/press for the Walkabout. I was to get one of the first off of the new settup, but that happens to be when I lost my employment. I know he had a couple of problems which caused the new setup to be made and may have had issues dialing it in. Give him a call if you can...or better for your wallet email him. He's a very nice guy and I'm sure will want be of help.

yeah i'm gonna flick Larry an email on this.
deck was "born" on 11-27-07, dunno where that sits on the timeline of Walkabout production...
was just seeing whether anyone had seen a similar thing.

You know in all my forum searching and research I have not heard of anything quite like this with a LBL deck. In fact I have heard few complaints at all.
