Barefoot Delight!

Well, hopefully.

Was crusin walmart the other day, and was thinking about the hamburger feet, duct tape being too slippery.

Got me thinking about rubber mats, tried googling some but those were too expensive. Then comes walmart with 6 dollar car floor mats! The rubber is kinda weak, tears easily, but that won't matter.

Bought some glue, bought the mats...bought some candy to keep me sugary.

Glued them tonight, should set tommorrow so I'll try to get some pics and reports of how it is tommorrow night!

Hopefully it'll be a good barefooters alternative to sand paper Wink

*Update 10/28*
Glue didn't take hold very well, good thing I tried pulling on it before it slid out from under me. Gotta try to rough up the board a bit before I tried glue it again, with more glue mwahuahahaha.

What about waxing the board?  Or carpeting?  Very Happy
Tookie

Haha, was thinking about that. But the reason wax works on surfboards and bodyboards, is cuz the water helps keep it solid and on the board. On a skateboard it would eventually melt/soften to the point of being ineffective. At least for the hotter places like Hawaii Wink

Carpeting would probably get moldy eventually, since when it rains sometimes when I'm out, that and it would get gross looking eventually hahaha.

Was think astro turf maybe, but right now I got some rubber mats drying on the board so I'll see how it works.

On the tiny snowboards that don't have binding (same size as a skateboard) they use high density foam. Same idea as wax though, your wet booted feet kind of stick to the foam.

A thick ish layer of high density foam migh be good? Maybe look at balance boards for ideas? Indo boards etc. They sometimes use a ribbed rubber sheet instead of grip tape which works good on socked and bare feet.

or, just remove all your grip and just use the board?

Too bad Hamboards don't make an LDP deck.  Their grip is perfect for bare feet.
