Anyone ridden this board? I'm in the market for an LDP specific board and was curious to hear someone's impression of the Mistress. I feel like the walkabout is too long for me, i don't really like the shape of the pulse and i have concerns about ordering a mermaid (although its my favorite of those three). If anyone has experience with the Mistress or another LDP specific board I havent listed (I know about the Galac, but its just too pretty for the punishment I put my boards through), Id love to hear about it.

I'm not sure what you're referring to ?_? I didnt see any official forum on the roggs.ca site. When I did a google search all i came up with was:

And although there are some great pics and a lil info on their DH and dancing lines, I didnt see any review of the mistress. It would be awesome if you could point me towards a roggs forum, I just didnt find it.

I assume youre talking abot the "A New LDP to the market ???" post in the Setups - boards thread, and yes, of course i checked there first, but as you'll notice, not one person in that thread (other than Loki I presume) has actually ridden the board. The thread is mostly people offering to test the prototype and no one posted their reactions/results (if anyone actually did end up testing it). So, Ill reiterate my question, has anyone actually stepped on this board?

Looks like he's still doing some prototyping or testing (based on the website)... I'd say get a hold of him and ask to see whats up!

I tried to contact him through the site's "Custom Boards" link. So far no response, but its only been a day or two, so I'm still hopeful. I think it's a great design, I asked him about the flex options and some other questions I had. Ill try to keep everyone posted.

Well, still no word from Roggs/Loki/Whoever. I'm a little disappointed. Perhaps someone knows a better way to get a hold of him than his website's custom board section? I'm not registered with the 'fish, but I suppose Id be willing to if thats a better way to contact him.

I sent Roggs another message through their website. At this point Im not very optimistic about him responding. If anyone knows a better way to get a hold of Roggs/Loki, please lemme know.

If you can wait then I would seriously consider ordering a Mermaid. Gareth has had problems with his set up I believe which is sorted now.

I suffered with ordering mine waited nearly quite a while but these things are built to order and I have to say that it was well worth the wait. Beautiful board and brilliant performance. It is by far my favorite out of my quiver.

The board has surprised me so much it pumps like a dream (and I'm a complete novice), is so comfortable and feels great carving a hill.

If I was to go back to September and order another board I would order a Mermaid without hesitation. I love this board and I take my hat off to Gareth and James for pouring so much effort into the design.

i thought i fired back an email to your questions awhile ago, must of got caught up or something.

and your one from the other day i havent gotten back to just cause i just got home yesterday after being stuck and in 3 different city's over the holidays

my website also kinda needs another work over but thats what ill be doing over the next couple weeks.

as far as the mistress goes it got put on the back burner for quite awhile but here is where it currently stands.

So far i tried doing various flex's as far as composite lamination goes, but with my current equipment and how things are done, i came to the conclusion that the "juice wasn't worth the squeeze" as far as the different flexs go, Well as of now, it will be different later.

So what i did was decided to make an all wood version of the deck (being easier for me, and cheaper for you) but needed to test the flex of it first, but it came out exactly as i wanted.

So currently once i get my act back in gear the mistress will be offered in a all wood form, but the only current holdup is i havent decided what i want to do as far as stock stain/paint goes, so it just kinda hit a wall there and hasn't moved since.

as for the design im confident that its a awesome starting point, but will be refined over time with more riders opinions and feedback, but i have to get some of the decks out first to do that, cause currently there are really only two riders of them, thats myself and petary, and im snowed in and geared up for snowboarding right now so no ride time is being put in on my part.

but yeah im sure that doesn't answer everything but will give a basis on whats up.

Hey Loki, thanks for getting back to me. I decided to go a different direction with my purchase, but I wanted to tell you that your design looks great. Its a beautiful shape and I may pick one up after youve had a chance to do a little more testing, but for right now, Ive decided on a different deck. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

I got an older one. I have yet to be able to ride it outside but it's been awesome in the basement. The flex is great, the concave is great; pretty much everything is how I wish it was.
