A little input would be helpfulI have a Sector 9 older Cosmic Rider. Boards length is 38" the widest point is 8.5"; front width 4.5 (right on the nose); rear width 6"; WHEEL BASE is 25".
There are no wheel cut-outs, has a lot of camber and a nice convex with a kick tail. There is a layer of Fiberglass top and bottom.
The question I have is the front truck mounts right up on the nose, would this work for an LDP deck?

If so, I used to own one just like it, and one of those boards I would still love to ride again. It was a little flexier and springier almost like a flex 2/3 vanguard. A little on the soft side but tons of fun. I think you mean concave, concave-camber is opposite of convex-rocker. Your front foot would be a little behind the front truck, the deck might feel a bit narrow for full on power, but really flex is what will probalby matter most with this one.
I'd say mount up some pump-oriented trucks, put a few miles underfoot and let us know!

I don't have a profile photo of the camber. I weigh 220 lbs at 6' will this cause tooooo much flex?
Also, if you have a moment could you advise me as to what trucks & length, plus best wedge job. I'll be using Gumballs 76mm @ 75a.
Again, I greatly appreciate YOUR input. I am a 49 year old downhill longboarder (Arbor Blunt) wanting to come over to the LDP side.

no, I think that'll make a decent LDP board. Just make sure you get the amount of riser right and you should be good to go. Sector 9's tend ro run a bit stiffer than a lot of other boards so for your weight, you should be good.

Normally S9 work fine, but I remember my Cosmic being pretty flexy at my 165lbs, or course mine was used off eBay so maybe it was just broken in... Anyway, you should get your Bennett 5.0 / Tracker 129 (or 139 depending on your prefs) and a Khiro wedge kit and long hardware, then you'll be ready for anything. Check wedging on the 'gear' page...set up and see how she feels-- and if it feels squishy, then my 2nd advice for affordability and more suited to your weight is the S9 Trylam. Beyond that...I think you know the board I'd recommend

You might try drilling some new mounting holes for the front truck that are closer to the center of the board. Typical foot position for LDP has your front foot abutting, if not covering the front truck mounting bolts. This mod would give you more front foot real estate.
At the same time, it will also shorten your WB. It is difficult to see in the photos where the kicktail begins. If possible, I'd also recommend moving the rear truck rearward. This will help compensate for the WB you lost by moving the front truck backward. Your goal would be to stretch the WB to 28-30in, but if you are a few inches shorter, this would be ok and make it easier to pump at low speeds.
Did you ever get a chance to measure the WB?

Yep, the current wheelbase is 25". Your suggestion sounds do-a-ble. I was concerned about the trucks being right up on the nose. Thanks.
