Wow, that's serious cash! It's not April 1st is it? This should draw a good international field, right? It'll pay for air fare and then some. I would think the field should be at least as good as Goodwood.

Anyone with knowledge of the course, the actual roads, that can attest to their quality? I'm just wondering if this is a hard duro or soft duro wheel course. Or just go with 80a? I'd like to get as much info as possible before committing with $95.

The tentative map (he's still working on getting final permits) is on the site, in case someone gets a chance to check it out.
I'd either plan on bringing 2 sets of wheels and coming a day early to check it out (like we do in slalom) Or, just go with a middle of the road duro like you said. Personally Green Zigs or middle duro Avilas would tackle any terrain.

Cool Philip! I think that Alexandre B. from France (recently skated Goodwood in the UK) is registered now...it's officially international
I'm going to bring over a comment I made on the Fish a few days back, some thoughts on "race" strategy, it was in answer to questions from princebarbare who is apparently on this forum as well!

How is the road surface? Clean and smooth without holes, pebbles, road "humps" or rough, with pebbles etc. ?
How many people are registered? Paul Kent? Enevoldsen? Colton?
How is the weather in november? Hot? Dry or rainy?
Thanks for the answers
I predict those on the podium will focus on raw effort over setup. I've seen guys kill it on the Portland Pushers using park boards with crap trucks and Gumballs.
Assume hot weather and consider possibility of rain. Not sure what the road reality is, but I'd mentally plan on all types of terrain, butter smooth to rough with potholes or traffic turtles to get hung up on and eat ####. Although I don't think it will be anywhere near as gnarly as the Broadway Bomb in terms of negotiating through traffic.
